On the official site of the franchise based on the manga written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate, Haikyuu !!, the start of a collaboration with the Tobu Zoo was announced starting on October 3. The collaboration will include the launch of special merchandise based on the characters Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima, and other characters within the park.

The Tobu Zoo is located in the city of Miyashiro, in the Saitama Prefecture in Japan. For reference, it should be noted that it was the home of Grape-kun, a Humboldt penguin who gained international fame by "falling in love" with a booth of a character from the Kemono Friends series. The zoo reported on October 12, 2017 that Grape-kun had already left this life.

About Haikyuu !!

Haruichi Furudate published the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2012 until July 20. The publisher published the forty-third compilation volume on May 13, and will publish the forty-fourth on August 4.

The play has inspired several anime adaptations released in April 2014, October 2015, and October 2016. A fourth season titled Haikyuu !! To The Top premiered its first half on January 10 with twelve episodes. The second half is slated to premiere in October this year, having been delayed from its release date this month due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production.
