The
long-awaited anime adaptation of Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of
Spring, based on the light novel written by Kana Akatsuki (author
of Violet Evergarden) and illustrated by Suoh, has
revealed a new seasonal visual that evokes the warmth and hope
of summer. A short promotional video also accompanies this illustration,
offering a preview of the poetic and emotional tone that will characterize the
series.
A love
story between the seasons
Officially
published in English by Yen Press, the story of Dance of
Spring presents a mythological universe where the seasons of the year
are beings with soul and purpose. According to the synopsis:
"Winter was the
only season in the world, until, consumed by loneliness, he created spring to
love. As time went by, the earth wanted to rest more, and thus summer and
autumn were born. Those who maintain this cycle are known as the Agents of
the Four Seasons.
Hinagiku, the Agent of Spring, disappeared ten years ago, taking that season
with her. Now, after enormous hardships, he has returned to restore balance to
the cycle... and as the ancestral myth goes, to send his love to Winter."
The creative team behind the work
The series
is being produced by the renowned WIT Studio, directed by Ken
Yamamoto (Pokémon: Hisuian Snow). The script is written
by Ayumu Hisao (I'm in Love with the Villainess), while
the character designs are being developed by Namiko Torii.
So far,
an official release date has not been confirmed, but the
release of this summery visual suggests that the production is progressing
apace and that more details could be revealed in the coming months.

that promises to move
With a
lyrical narrative style and characters linked to the elements of nature, Agents
of the Four Seasons is shaping up to be a work full of symbolism, deep
emotions and an exquisite visual approach, just like Violet Evergarden.
The story of Hinagiku and his connection to Winter promises to touch hearts and
