For its part, the Sekai Project launched a campaign on Kickstarter for the development of the visual novel Tokyo Chronos in July 2018, and the campaign got $ 90,625, exceeding the goal of 75,000. The game was released for Oculus devices and Live via Steam in March 2019, and then physically for PlayStation VR in August 2019 in Japan.

The story unfolds 300 years after the events of the original game. Devastated by deadly creatures known as "Meteora," humanity has sought refuge underground, in a post-apocalyptic Shibuya, in Japan. The last hope of Earth rests with Chloe, a genetically modified soldier who seeks to save humanity from its imminent end, and who also holds a certain grudge against the "Meteora" because they murdered their only friend.
