The descent
into the depths of the Abyss is far from over and tears for the followers are
more than guaranteed. On the same day as the Japanese theatrical release of the
film Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi, the production team surprised all
attendees by officially confirming that the film project will have a second
part to continue adapting this dark and shocking journey.
Along with
the announcement of the sequel, the project's official website released a
second promotional image for the first film and revealed five new members who
join the cast of voice actors. These additions will bring to life the members
of the fearsome white-whistled group known as the Hail Hex. Renowned actress
and singer Nana Mizuki leads this group playing Srajo, accompanied by Akino
Watanabe in the role of Nishagora and Shunsuke Takeuchi lending her
voice to Yataramar. The cast of this faction is completed with the performances
of Nao Touyama giving life to Sherumi and Yume Miyamoto as Menae.
This
feature film series picks up the story exactly where the events of the anime's
second season ended, accompanying Riko, Reg, and Nanachi through the most
dangerous and unexplored layers of this mysterious pit. With the introduction
of Srajo and his group, the plot promises to delve into the best-kept secrets
of the abyss and raise the tension to unsuspected levels for the protagonists.

Akihito Tsukushi. The work began its digital serialization on
Takeshobo's Web portal Comic Gamma in October 2012, accumulating to date 15

franchise made the leap to television in 2017 with an animated first season
