An era is
coming to an end for one of the biggest franchises in the history of animation.
The official channel of the saga released this Friday the final trailer for Bleach:
Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity (BLEACH: Sennen Kessen-hen -
Kashin-tan), marking the final stretch of the fourth and final part of this
return that has had us on the edge of our seats for years.
The team
behind the production adjusted the broadcast schedule with the intention of
delivering episodes 49 and 50 with the technical level and visual quality that
a battle of this scale deserves. After a brief pause focused on polishing the
details of the most intense sequences of the climax, fans will be able to
witness the final outcome this coming October 19 and 26.
This fourth
installment, which began its broadcast on July 25, features the opening theme
"I-BULL" performed by jo0ji, while the closing "Rasen" is
performed by singer-songwriter 9Lana. The narrative places us at the most
critical point in the war between the Soul Reapers of Gotei 13 and the Quincy
army under the command of Yhwach, where the fighting in the Kingsguard and the
defense of the Spirit King will define the fate of all worlds.
Animation
remains in the hands of Pierrot Films, with Tomohisa Taguchi as general
director and Hikaru Murata as director. Masashi Kudo is at the helm of the
character design, while the iconic soundtrack is once again the work of master
Shiro Sagisu, with the direct supervision of the original author Tite Kubo to
ensure maximum fidelity to the manga.
About
Bleach
Bleach is a legendary manga and anime
franchise written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. The original work began
serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August 2001 and concluded in
August 2016 with a total of 74 collected volumes. The arc of the Thousand
Years' Bloody War spans from volume 55 to the exciting end of the work.
The plot
follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student who acquires the powers of a
Soul Reaper and takes on the responsibility of defending the innocent from evil
spirits. After a decade of absence from the small screen after the closure of
the original series in 2012, the adaptation of the final saga divided into four
consecutive installments began airing at the end of 2022, returning the
franchise to the place of honor it always occupied in the community.
