In a recent interview with Business Wire, the
companies Rainmaker Productions and Sola Entertainment
Embark commented on the development of the video game “ NINJA
KAMUI – SHINOBI ORIGINS ”, which is currently available for the
Nintendo Switch console. But it was not this launch that attracted attention,
but a comment by Joseph Chou, CEO of the production company Sola Entertainment:
“ We hope this game continues to
entertain fans around the world as we work on the second season of the anime. BE
THE NINJA! ” the director commented, confirming, perhaps
unintentionally, that the original anime “ NINJA KAMUI ” will
have a second season. Although there is still no official announcement, it has
definitely been a surprise for fans considering the decline the series
experienced towards its last episodes.
On the other hand, the original anime of thirteen
episodes premiered in February 2024 and was produced by
the E&H Production studios , under the direction of the
renowned Seong-Hu Park . Although the beginning was promising,
the series quickly declined in quality due to a combination of bad CGI and poor
animation in general, something that could have derived from the early
condition of the studio and low financing from the production company.
Synopsis of Ninja Kamui
Seemingly an ordinary man, Joe Logan
lives a quiet life in the country with his wife and son. However, the Logan
family has actually assumed false identities to escape Joe's past as a fearsome
ninja assassin. Despite a series of high-profile murders of his former
colleagues, Joe is sure that his new life is safe, but his quiet happiness is
soon cut short when his family is massacred by members of his ancient clan.
Left for dead, Joe wakes up in a hospital, unsure how he survived the injuries
that should have killed him.
Police detectives Emma Samanda and Mike
Moriss, assigned to investigate the deaths of the Logan family, witness another
attempt on Joe's life. This time, however, Joe is prepared. Deploying secret
techniques, he easily disposes of his enemies, shedding his new identity in the
process. Embracing his old ways, Joe embroils himself in his old persona,
fighting his way through the organization he once served in the name of
cold-blooded revenge. Aided in his hunt by the detective duo, Joe will stop at
nothing to put an end to his past and the demons that come from him.
