In a recent announcement, the “ Love Live! Sunshine!! “ franchise has
surprised and saddened its fans by announcing that the popular group Aqours will be
performing their “last performance” as part of the
franchise’s ninth anniversary celebrations .
Details about the date and location of
the event have not yet been announced , but it is
expected to take place between January and June
2025. Application for the ticket lottery will begin on December 18, 2024 ,
adding further expectations to the event.

“ Love Live! Sunshine!! ” is an
anime series that is part of the extensive “Love Live!” franchise, created by
the Sunrise studio in collaboration with Lantis and ASCII Media Works. The
series follows the story of a group of nine girls from Uranohoshi High
School in the coastal city of Numazu , in Shizuoka
Prefecture, Japan. Inspired by the success of their predecessors in “Love
Live!,” these girls form their own idol group, known as Aqours, in hopes of
saving their school from being closed.
Aqours consists
of Chika Takami, Riko Sakurauchi, You Watanabe, Dia Kurosawa, Kanan
Matsuura, Yoshiko Tsushima, Hanamaru Kunikida, Mari Ohara, and Ruby Kurosawa .
Since their debut in 2015, Aqours has achieved significant success, with
several chart-topping albums, large-scale concerts, and a fervent fanbase both
in Japan and internationally. Aqours' popularity has also led to the creation
of films, mobile games, and a wealth of related merchandise.
The announcement of their final performance has left
many fans with mixed feelings. On one hand, sadness at seeing the end
of an era for Aqours , and on the other, gratitude for the years of
