Through the official
website for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Fujino
Omori and illustrated by Toshi Aoi ,
“ Wistoria:
Wand and Sword ( Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria ),”
it was announced that the series will have a second season. Production details
as well as the premiere date for this sequel will be announced soon.
The first season of
the series was produced by ACTAS and Bandai Namco
Pictures , and began airing in July 2024 and consisted of 12 episodes.
Crunchyroll handled the simulcast in the West.
Fujino
Omori , who is also
the author of the “ Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru
Darou ka? ( DanMachi: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up
Girls in a Dungeon? )” franchise, began publishing the manga
through Kodansha ’s Bessatsu
Shonen Magazine in December 2020, where it is still in
publication.
Synopsis
of Wistoria: Wand and Sword
Will
Serfort dreams of fulfilling a promise he made to a childhood friend and
becoming Magia Vander, one of the powerful wizards who sit atop the Wizard
Tower. However, he is unable to cast even the simplest of spells, forcing him
to fight dungeon monsters to earn credits at Regarden Magic Academy. To top it
off, he is forced to test his sword skills against a bullying teacher.
