The “ Detective Conan ” franchise , based on the
hit manga by Gosho Aoyama, has revealed the title of its 28th film:

of mystery and thrills in a winter setting.

To mark the announcement, a teaser visual illustrated
by Gosho Aoyama himself has been released. The image
stands out for its intriguing atmosphere and key elements that give clues about
the plot. In the upper right corner, Kogoro Mouri is shown with a serious and
determined expression, looking up at the sky. This intense gaze is no
coincidence, as it recalls his role in “Detective Conan: Strategy Above the
Depths (2005),” suggesting an important role for Kogoro in this new
installment, something uncommon in recent films in the franchise.
In the bottom left of the visual, we see Inspector
Kansuke Yamato of the Nagano Police covering his left eye, a direct reference
to the film’s title and his iconic one-eyed trait. He is accompanied by his
colleagues from Nagano Prefecture: Takaaki Morofushi, his childhood friend, and
Yui Uehara. This group will be key to the narrative, marking one of the
rare occasions where a supporting character arc from the main series is brought
into the spotlight in a film.
The film will be set in the snowy mountains of Nagano
Prefecture, a setting that evokes mystery and danger. According to the
title and teaser, the story will revolve around secrets related to Kansuke
Yamato's left eye, a mystery that has intrigued fans since its introduction in
the series.
The teaser's tagline, “ I've remembered
everything… ”, suggests that the film will explore memories or past
events that have deeply marked the characters. This approach,
coupled with the prominence of Kogoro Mouri, points to a narrative full of
drama, action, and unexpected twists, elements that have characterized the
Detective Conan films.
