A press
release announced the production of a new original anime titled “ Food for the Soul ( Hibi wa Sugiredo
Meshi Umashi ).” The release listed that the premiere is
scheduled for sometime in 2025 in Japan , and lists the production
team as including the author and original staff of the “ Non Non Biyori ” anime.
Additionally, Quro ,
the author of the “ Asteroid in Love ” franchise , will
be in charge of the manga adaptation of this project. Serialization will begin
through Kadokawa’s Alive Plus service in 2025, and the
author shared an illustration to celebrate the announcement:

Mako
Kawai is a first-year college student who experiences independence for the
first time as she begins to live on her own. In this new chapter of her life,
Mako discovers an unexpected refuge in the world of cooking, a place where
tenderness and delicious food combine to create the most memorable experiences.
As she
