If the
zombie apocalypse came tomorrow and you found out that the undead completely
ignore you, most would think about becoming the hero who saves humanity.
However, the protagonist of this story prefers to use that strange immunity to
let himself be carried away by his darkest desires and live without pressure.
The long-awaited anime adaptation of Zombie no Afureta Sekai by Ore Dake ga
Osowarenai (I am the only one who is not attacked in the world filled
with zombies) finally presented its main trailer, promotional image and the
confirmation of its premiere date for January 2027.
The new
video trailer allows you to listen for the first time to the musical themes
that will accompany the broadcast. Artist RetBear performs the opening
theme titled "No Reaction," while singer Itsuka▶ is in charge of the ending theme with the song
"Tsukikage." Both themes give a vibrant and intense touch to the
scenes where society collapses while the protagonist walks among the infected
as if nothing was happening.
Along with
the musical news, the production announced the incorporation of new talents to
the voice cast. Actress Rikako Ito will play Tokiko Kurose, while Marie
Miyake will play Sayaka Makiura. They join previously confirmed stars Wataru
Kato as Yusuke Takemura and Yuno Azuma in the role of Mitsuki
Fujino.
Behind the
scenes, the animation is in charge of the acca effe and Frontier
Engine studios under the direction of Kazuya Fujishiro. The
supervision and writing of the main scripts falls to Yasushi Hirano
along with Kayo Shimoyama and Makuto Okimiru, while Megumi Ishihara
adapts the character designs. The sound section is in the hands of Tadashi
Jinbo, supported by ISAO's musical composition.
About Zombie no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai
Zombie
no Afureta Sekai de Ore Dake ga Osowarenai is a dark comedy survival light novel written
by Rokuro Uraji. The work was originally born in the adult section of
the Shosetsuka ni Naro portal in January 2013, concluding its web history in
2017. Frontier Works published the print version with illustrations by Saburo
between 2016 and 2017, with a popular manga adaptation drawn by Chihiro Masuda
that began in June 2021.
The plot
follows Yusuke Takemura, an ordinary man who wakes up in the middle of a
massive zombie outbreak. Realizing that the monsters completely ignore him for
unknown reasons, Takemura decides not to worry about finding a cure or saving
the rest, opting to take advantage of the situation to fulfill all his personal
whims in a world where laws and traditional morality no longer exist.
