We thought that the story of Senku and the Kingdom of Science had already lowered the curtain definitively, but science never stops. During the special event STONE FES. 2026, the bombshell that no one saw coming was dropped: the franchise gave the green light to the production of Dr. Stone Terraforming, a direct sequel in anime format that will adapt the events after the outcome of the main series.

The news was accompanied by a first promotional trailer that reviews the most iconic inventions created by Senku and his companions, closing with a thunderstorm and the voice of the protagonist himself releasing his classic phrase about how exciting this new challenge is. This project will bring to the screen the content of volume number 27 of the manga, originally published as a special continuation set just after the final chapter of the work.

The manga's own writer, Riichiro Inagaki, shared his excitement about it, highlighting that, although the anime had already adapted the story to the last original chapter, Senku's scientific adventure never really ended. For his part, illustrator Boichi thanked the enormous affection of the fans both at the event and in the digital broadcasts, promising that there will be more details about this new phase of production soon.

To commemorate the announcement, Yuko Iwasa, character designer for the animated adaptation, unveiled a special illustration. Although the release date and final format of this sequel have not yet been revealed, the confirmation that the journey to terraform the planet will continue in animation already has the entire community celebrating in a big way.
