The official site for the anime adaptation of Tobirano ’s
light novels , “ Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex ( Zutaboro
Reijou wa Ane no Moto Konyakusha ni Dekiai sareru ),” revealed the
project’s first promotional video. The video confirms that the premiere
is scheduled for the Summer-2025 period (July-September) , and lists
details of the voice cast and production team.
For his part, Tobirano began
publishing the story through the Shousetsuka ni Narou service
in October 2019, and then through the publisher Futabasha with
illustrations by Mai Murasaki in April 2020. A manga
adaptation by Chikage Nakagura has been published through
the publisher's Gaugau Monster service since July 2020.
Synopsis of Betrothed to My Sister's Ex
A poor baron's daughter has lived in the shadow of her
sister, where she has always been left with nothing. Her hair is full of
hairballs, she doesn't even own a dress and all she has are rags to work with.
Her sister receives the attention of a very rich nobleman, but dies on the way
to her marriage. Marie is sent as a substitute bride for her sister because the
baron cannot pay the dowry already sold to the count. But… is that impossible?
First of all, was the proposal a misunderstanding? A beautiful and happy love
story between the fallen daughter of a baron and an eloquent count.
