A press
release listed that the " Cute High Earth Defense Club ( Binan
Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu )" franchise will be getting a new anime
series titled " Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Haikara! ".
The release did not list a scheduled premiere date, but did indicate that Shinji
Takamatsu will be returning as director at Studio Deen , after serving
as director for the first three series and most recently the " Binan
Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Eternal Love! " film.
The
franchise began as an original anime created by Kurari Umatani and produced
by Diomedea , released in Winter 2015 (January-March) .
Since then, multiple series and feature films have followed, as well as
a spin-off manga titled " Binan Kokou Chikyuu Seifuku-bu Love! ",
published through Pony Canyon 's digital service since October
2014, and a novelization by Natsuko Takahashi , as well as a
smartphone video game.
Synopsis of Cute High Earth Defense Club
Why should girls have all the fun? These magical boys
have arrived to save the world from heartbreak... or at least that's what the
pink wombat that grants them their magical powers wants. In Binan Koukou
Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love!, the protagonists are members of the "Earth Defense
Club" at Binan High School, although they really just want to relax and
hang out at the Kurotama public baths. However, one fateful day, a pink wombat
appears out of nowhere and forces these five students to become the
"Battle Lovers," heroes tasked with protecting the Earth from a group
of villains who take orders from a green hedgehog.
Throughout the series, the Battle Lovers will face all
sorts of wacky enemies, including the Chikuwabu monster, a chopstick ghost, a
remote-controlled monster, and many more strange creatures. Will the heirs to
the throne of love be able to protect the Earth from those who wish to destroy
love? Or will the Earth Conquest Club succeed in filling the world with hatred?
