Ruka
Sarashina officially joins the journey to Hawaii in the fourth season of
"Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent A Girlfriend)" ! If you recall, a few months
ago we told you that this new installment of the anime will premiere in Summer
2025 (July-September), will last two cours with a break in between, and that
the entire story will take place in a Hawaiian resort. Well, now new
details have arrived that continue to raise the hype.
The
anime's official website has released the third "date visual" for
this season, and this time it's the turn of Ruka Sarashina , the adorable and explosive
"idol girlfriend" that many fans adore... and just as many fear. Ruka
appears with a summery look, wearing a straw hat as she stops next to some
train tracks with a suitcase in hand, ready for her adventure in Hawaii. The
image perfectly conveys the spirit of travel that will mark this season's main
arc, the already confirmed "Hawaii Trip Arc."
Let's
remember that Ruka is one of the most proactive girls in the story, an
energetic "imouto" who isn't afraid to use unconventional methods to
get close to Kazuya. This season, her presence promises plenty of
drama, tension, and awkwardly funny moments. Additionally, Nao Toyama,
Ruka's voice actress, shared a comment full of emotion (and chaos):
" One difficulty after another! There's always a huge commotion
and one crisis after another! We're all already on the brink! This trip...
we're not going to return safely... I wonder how we'll manage to get out of
this situation. "KanoKari" is a romantic comedy, right? Or was it a
thriller...? (laughs) "
Finally,
Toyama also encouraged fans not to miss this new installment, as this story arc
is one of his personal favorites. “ The world of KanoKari becomes
more and more impossible to ignore as the story progresses! This season
includes the unforgettable Hawaii Arc, which had even me too anxious to know
what would happen next… I hope you too will experience it with your hearts on
edge and full of excitement! This summer, let’s go on a chaotic vacation
together with KanoKari! ”
As always,
the production follows the pattern of previous seasons, gradually revealing
each girl's individual visuals. So if Ruka has already made her grand
entrance... we might soon see what they have in store for Sumi and Mini. Are

- " Kanojo,
Okarishimasu " is a work written and illustrated by Reiji
Miyajima , whose serialization began in July 2017 in Kodansha 's Weekly
Shonen Magazine , and which currently continues to be published
regularly. The manga even inspired a live-action adaptation, which was
released in July 2022.
- The animated version debuted in
July 2020 with a 12-episode first season , available globally through
Crunchyroll, with the exception of Asia. The second and third
seasons were subsequently released in July 2022 and July 2023 ,
respectively, both also distributed by Crunchyroll. The fourth
season is already confirmed for July 2025.
- As for
the cast, the entire main cast returns for this new installment: Shun
Horie (Kazuya Kinoshita), Sora Amamiya (Chizuru
Mizuhara), Aoi Yuuki (Mami Nanami), Nao Touyama (Ruka
Sarashina), Rie Takahashi (Sumi Sakurasawa) and Yuu
Serizawa (Mini Yaemori).
- The plot revolves around Kazuya
Kinoshita, a 20-year-old college student who, after a heartbreak, decides
to use a girlfriend-rental service. This is how he meets Chizuru Mizuhara,
sparking a series of misunderstandings, romantic entanglements, and comical
situations that mark the beginning of a peculiar love story.
