On the
official site for the anime adaptation of Palette 's visual novels , " 9-Nine ",
which will be titled " 9-Nine: Ruler's Crown ( 9-nine-
Shihaisha no Oukan )", the first promotional video for the
project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled
for the Summer-2025 period (July-September) in Japan , and lists
production details and the voice cast. The video also shows a fragment of the
ending theme titled " Pale Blaze " and performed
by Chihiro Yonekura .
The
original visual novels were released for Microsoft Windows in
four installments between April 2017 and April 2020, and were then ported
to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in June
2022. A manga adaptation by Izumi Kawachi has been published
through Futabasha 's Gaugau Monster service since
October 2021.
Synopsis
of 9-Nine
The
scene: Shiromitsugawa, an ordinary university town that has tried
unsuccessfully to attract tourism and revitalize itself, even sponsoring a
high-budget but poorly written anime based on local folklore. A storm is about
to hit this sleepy place. We follow Kakeru Niimi, a man who may seem somewhat
dry, but with a strong sense of duty and a kind heart. His ordinary life is
turned upside down when the sacred relic at the local shrine is broken. From
this event, several young people awaken with superhuman abilities. What was
once a normal life in a lackluster town becomes a quest to stop a superpowered
serial killer before he strikes again.
