This Monday
it was revealed that the anime adaptation of the light novel A
Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai ( Sozai Saishuka no Isekai
Ryokōki ) will premiere in October and will feature
original music composed by Hiroshi Takaki , known for his work
on franchises such as Witchy Precure! , AKB0048 and Butt
Detective .
An
isekai with unique abilities
The story
follows Takeru Kamishiro , an ordinary employee who is
suddenly transported to another world called Madeus , a place
of magic and swords. Unbeknownst to him, he has been blessed with extraordinary
abilities: enhanced physical strength, advanced magic, and a powerful ability
to track valuable items .
Thanks to
these "cheat" skills , Takeru begins his new life as
an adventurer, exploring this fantastic world with advantages that set him
apart from the rest.
Production
team confirmed
The series
will be directed by Yoshinori Odaka in a collaboration
between Tatsunoko Production and Synergy SP .
The script will be written by Gigaemon Ichikawa , while
character designs are by Mayumi Watanabe . Overall production
is in the hands of GENCO .
An
award-winning work
The
original light novel, written by Masuo Kinoko , debuted
in December 2017 through the AlphaPolis platform
. It currently has 16 published volumes , the most recent
released on March 17 . The series has reached 1.73
million copies in circulation , including digital editions.
Additionally,
it was recognized with the Grand Prize and the Audience
Award at the ninth annual AlphaPolis Fantasy Novel Prize,
consolidating its popularity among Japanese readers.
Manga
also growing
The manga
adaptation, illustrated by Tomozo , began publication in November
2018. Its most recent volume, the eighth, was released on August
20. The English version is currently being published by Alpha
Manga for international audiences.
Featuring
a classic isekai plot bolstered
by solid production and music by a veteran composer, A Gatherer's
Adventure in Isekai promises to be one of next fall's standout
releases.
