Corporation revealed a
new visual and character video for the upcoming Chuhai Lips: Canned
Flavor of Married Women ( Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan Chūhai
no Aji ga Shite ) anime series, an adaptation of the original manga
by Chinjao Musume and Tama Nogami . New trailers will
be released every Friday , it was announced .
Premiere
with a double format for all tastes
The series
is scheduled to debut in July and will have two different
versions: a television edition adapted for all audiences, and
a "Deregula Edition" with more explicit content. The
latter is part of WWWave's adult label.
Cast
confirmed for both versions
Along with
information about the premiere, the main voices of both editions were
presented:
- Tsuyoshi : played by Takahide
Ishii (TV version) and Men Kaidō (Deregula
version)
- Yui Koriyama : played by Shiho
Kawaragi (TV version) and Miyu Anno (Deregula
version)
A
romance with a chuhai flavor
The story
revolves around Tsuyoshi , a college student with a fondness
for canned alcoholic drinks, chūhai , and his unexpected
encounters with married women with very different
personalities. The word "chūhai" comes from "shōchū
highball," a mixture of Japanese liquor and carbonated water popular in
Japan.
Production
and background
The anime
is being directed by Hajime Keima at studio raiose ,
who is also overseeing series composition. Yoriko Karei is
responsible for character and color designs , with Yutaka Aota serving
as art director and Tomohiro Hayashi as director of
photography and editing. The sound director is Fumihiko Odera .
An adult
manga that makes the leap to anime
The
original work has been published on Kodansha 's YanMaga
Web platform since February 2021. A compiled version
in a "full-color deluxe edition" format began releasing in June
2024. Its most recent volume, the third, was released on November 20 .
With its
blend of sensuality, humor, and adult aesthetic, Chuhai Lips promises
to be one of the season's most eye-catching offerings for an adult audience.
