April Showers Bring May Flowers reveals opening with TWS and Ayumu Imazu

The official website for the anime adaptation of  April Showers Bring May Flowers ( Busu ni Hanataba o ), a manga written by Roku Sakura , announced on Friday that the group TWS will be performing the opening theme song, “BLOOM (feat. Ayumu Imazu) . 


A talented voice cast for Hana's story


The anime will premiere in July in Japan (with a broadcast planned for Spain during the summer time slot, UTC+2 ) and will feature a prominent cast:


  • Saori Hayami as Hana Tabata
  • Shimba Tsuchiya as Yosuke Ueno
  • Yoshino Aoyama as Sumire Uguisudani
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Tetsuo Gotanda

Creative team with experience in major titles


The series is directed by Mirai Minato ( Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! , Mission: Yozakura Family ), who is also overseeing the scripts. The animation is handled by SILVER LINK .


The character designs are by Miwa Ōshima ( Baka and Test ), with Beat assisting the supporting characters. The music is composed by Yuki Hayashi ( My Hero Academia , Haikyu!! ) and Shōgo Yamashiro ( My Hero Academia: Vigilantes ).


A story of personal transformation and romance


The story follows Hana Tabata , a pessimistic high school student who considers herself ugly and lives in isolation. However, her routine takes an unexpected turn when her attractive classmate Yosuke Ueno surprises her while she's swapping flowers. From then on, Hana begins to experience a profound change in her perception and her daily life.


A manga with a consolidated trajectory


The manga first ran in April 2016 in Kadokawa 's Monthly Young Ace magazine , and concluded in September 2022. The publisher released the 12th and final volume in November 2022 .


The manga is currently being published in English by Yen Press . Additionally, Roku Sakura began a new special series based on the original work in the April issue of Monthly Young Ace , released on March 4 .


With an emotional aesthetic and a thoughtful approach to self-image and love, April Showers Bring May Flowers is shaping up to be one of next season's most sensitive offerings.
