A Franchise That Continues to Grow

The original manga by Coolkyoushinja began serialization in May 2013 in Monthly Action magazine and was transferred to Manga Action in February 2024 following the closure of the former magazine. Seven Seas Entertainment distributes the manga in English.

The anime adaptation, produced by Kyoto Animation, premiered in January 2017, and its second season, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, arrived in July 2021. Both seasons were streamed on Crunchyroll and dubbed in English by Funimation, which also released physical editions on Blu-ray and DVD.

The franchise has spawned several spin-offs, such as Elma's Office Lady Diary, Fafnir the Recluse, and Kanna's Daily Life, which are also being published in English by Seven Seas.

With a new film on the way and a showbiz legend joining the cast, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid promises to continue delighting fans with its unique blend of comedy, cuteness, and fantastical action.
