Netflix has confirmed that the third
part of the Pokémon Horizons: The Search for Laqua anime will
be available on the platform starting June 27. This
installment corresponds to the second season of the franchise and continues the
story started by the new protagonists, Liko and Roy .
A new
stage in the search for Laqua
The first
part of the season debuted on Netflix on February 7 , followed
by the second on April 25 . Now, with the release of this
third part, fans can continue exploring the mysterious fate that awaits the
protagonists and the legendary Rayquaza in its shiny form .
A
completely renewed story
Unlike
previous installments, Pokémon Horizons features an all-new
cast, led by trainers Liko and Roy ,
alongside the starter Pokémon Sprigatito , Fuecoco and Quaxly ,
from the video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple .
Additionally,
the series introduces Professor Friede and his partner Captain
Pikachu , a duo who fight alongside the protagonists as they try to
unravel the secrets of the Pokémon world.
An anime
in constant evolution
The series
originally premiered in Japan in April 2023 with a one-hour
special episode, and airs every Friday at 11:55 a.m. CET . It
has since gone through several story arcs, including "The
Brilliance of Terapagos" , which premiered with episode 29
in October 2023 , and the "Terastal Debut" arc ,
which began in April 2024 .
The most
recent arc, set in Kitakami , the region featured in the Turquoise
Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Purple , began
airing in Japan in October 2024 .
A
renowned creative team
The anime
is being directed by Saori Den ( Mirage Queen Prefers
Circus ), with Daiki Tomiyasu serving as creative
director. The scripts are being supervised by Dai Satō , known
for works such as Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain .
The technical staff also includes Tetsuo Yajima as action
director, Rei Yamazaki as character designer, and Kyōko
Itō as secondary designer. Sound direction is by Masafumi Mima ,
and the music is by Conisch .
The third
installment of Pokémon Horizons promises to continue expanding
the Pokémon universe with a fresh narrative, new regions to explore, and
thrilling battles. Fans can enjoy it on Netflix Spain starting
June 27 .
