adaptation of Otherworldly Munchkin: Let's Speedrun the Dungeon
with Only 1 HP (Isekai Munchkin: HP 1 no Mama de Saikyō Saisoku Danjon
Kōryaku), based on the manga by Yū Shimizu and Makoto
Aogiri , has revealed its first promotional video ,
its main cast, full production team, and its expected premiere in
October 2025 , as confirmed by Bandai Namco Filmworks .
A
determined protagonist with only 1 hit point
The story
follows Yukito Kirihara , a 16-year-old boy who, after dying
protecting his sister, is reincarnated in a fantasy world with one clear
goal: to rescue her . The problem? He only has 1 HP .
This original premise proposes a "speedrun" approach in an isekai
universe full of traps and enemies, where every move counts.

production team full of experience
The anime
will be directed by Kei Yoshimizu ( Zumomo to Nupepe )
and Naoya Fukushi ( Kaito × Ansa ) at Durandal Studios
. The script is being written by Hiroshi Hosokawa ,
while Mamoru Yokota and Yui Katō are
designing the characters. Katō is also taking on the role of chief animation
director. Interestingly, Yokota, who was initially announced as director, is
now listed as general director .
A
survival story with a video game flavor
Published
on Kodansha's Suiyōbi no Sirius website in February 2019 , the manga has gained notoriety for
its role-playing video game-inspired narrative style and speedrun
mechanics . Volume 12 is due out in Japan on June 9 .
With a
dynamic approach, attractive aesthetics, and a constant dose of tension, Otherworldly
Munchkin promises to position itself as one of the most original
offerings of the fall season. Will Yukito manage to conquer the dungeon with
