This
Tuesday, the official website for the anime Takopi's Original Sin ( Takopii
no Genzai ) revealed a new promotional trailer and
the long-awaited premiere date : Friday, June 28 at 5:00
p.m. (UTC+2) . The six-episode series will be available
on Netflix , Amazon Prime Video , ABEMA , U-NEXT and
other streaming platforms in Japan.
Emotional
music for a story that promises to break hearts
The trailer
also featured the anime's official theme songs . The opening
theme song is "Happy Lucky Chappy" by the
eccentric artist ano , while the ending theme song is "Glass
no Sen" by the band Tele .

A short
but intense story
Based on
the manga by Taizan 5 , Takopi's Original Sin tells
the story of a cute-looking alien who comes to Earth with the goal of making a
deeply depressed girl smile. However, he soon discovers that time
travel can't heal all wounds .
The manga
ran in Shonen Jump+ from December 2021 to March 2022 ,
concluding with just two volumes . In that short period, the
work established itself as a narrative gem and was nominated
for major awards, including the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize and
the Manga Taisho Awards . It also won the Manga
Kingdom Tottori Award at the Japan Cartoonists Association
Awards .
Additionally,
in 2022, the manga ranked #3 on the list for male readers of
the prestigious Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guide , confirming its
impact among critics and fans.
