The romantic comedy A Couple of Cuckoos will return with its second season on July 8 in Japan, and to celebrate, a new promotional illustration was released that has generated great expectation among fans.
In the
image, the protagonists Erika Amano and Ai Mochizuki can
be seen in poses that highlight their contrasting personalities. Ai appears
provocatively, wearing only a T-shirt with the face of protagonist Nagi
Umino, while Erika shows a cheerful smile and makes the classic
"peace" sign in her school uniform.
All set
for the second season
The series,
based on the manga by Miki Yoshikawa published by Kodansha in
Weekly Shonen Magazine, continues to attract a large fan base. In the
West, Kodansha USA publishes the English version.
The
animation of this new season is in charge of the Okuruto Noboru studio,
with Masakazu Hishida directing, Kyoko Kon character
design and Rei Ishizuka as music composer.
Crunchyroll will stream this second season
as part of its simulcast schedule for summer 2025, thus maintaining the global
availability of the title.

The story
follows Nagi Umino, a model student who, on his way to meet his
biological parents, bumps into the outgoing Erika Amano, who asks
him to pretend to be her boyfriend to avoid an arranged marriage. The situation
