The new
streaming platform OceanVeil, from the company WWWave Corporation,
announced that it will exclusively premiere the anime Nukitashi
the Animation on July 18. The series is an adaptation
of the adult visual game Nuki-Gee Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Hinnyū
(Watashi) wa Dō Surya Ii Desuka?, also known as Nukitashi.
The anime
will have three different versions: the "Seiran Island"
version, which will include the most explicit content and will be broadcast
only on AT-X and on the Blu-ray Disc; a streaming-only
version with partial restrictions; and a fully regulated
version that will be broadcast by BS11, Gifu Broadcasting, KBS
Kyoto, and Mie TV.
The series
will debut on the AT-X network at 02:05 on July 19
(Japan time), which is equivalent to 19:05 on July 18 in Spain
(UTC+2). The other versions will be available on the corresponding
platforms from the same day.
Many of the
voice actresses participated in the original adult video game, although they
may now be using their real names instead of pseudonyms used in 18+ works.
A
production team with experience in intense anime
The
direction is in charge of Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Happy Sugar
Life, Love Flops) under the Passione studio.
The script was overseen by Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan),
along with the original game's writers Naoto Kurahone and Yū
Kamichika. The character design is done by Kumata, while the
music is composed by a team made up of Hakushaku Ebikare, Sasa Ikeki,
Umigame and Kashiko.
Hamedori-kun, a member of the Qruppo team, acts
as the project's general supervisor.
An
irreverent story that broke the mold in 2018
Nukitashi tells the story of a rebel
group fighting against the "Wicked Law" on the
fictional Seiran Island, where sex is institutionalized as a way of life. The
protagonist, Junnosuke Tachibana, and his companions oppose this system,
creating an anti-sexual movement called No Love No Sex.
The
original game was released in 2018 and received the awards for Best
Stage and Best New Brand at the Moe Game Awards. Its
popularity led to the creation of a sequel in 2019 and an international
version on Steam in 2023 by Shiravune.
