A history marked by pauses

There he meets Vanitas, a self-proclaimed vampire doctor who carries the enigmatic grimoire. Together, they become embroiled in a dangerous plot that threatens the peace between humans and vampires.

The series was originally released in December 2015 in Gangan Joker magazine. To date, it has 11 compilation volumes, the last of which was published in April 2024 by Square Enix.

From paper to screen

The success of the manga led to an animated adaptation by the BONES studio, which premiered in July 2021. The second part of the series aired in January 2022Funimation aired the first part with English dubbing, while the second part was broadcast by Funimation and Crunchyroll, which subsequently added the first part to its catalog as well.
