Artist Kenshi
Yonezu is once again collaborating with Chainsaw Man and
will perform the theme song for the upcoming film Chainsaw Man – The
Movie: Reze Arc. The song, titled "IRIS OUT," not
only marks his second musical contribution to the franchise, but will also come
accompanied by a cover art illustrated by Yonezu himself.
This is not
the first time that the singer shows his facet as an illustrator, and this time
he has captured Reze in an image that will be part of the
official art of the single. The cover has already been revealed and has
generated excitement among fans for its distinctive art style.
Single
release and releases
The
single "IRIS OUT" will be released on September
24 as part of a double-A-side album, the second track of which has yet
to be announced. In addition to the standard version, two limited
editions inspired by each of the songs on the single will be released.
Details
of the film's production
The film
will be directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who already worked on
episodes 4 and 10 of the television anime, and is also known for his work
in Black Clover. The script will once again be in the hands
of Hiroshi Seko, while Kazutaka Sugiyama will be
in charge of character design. The production team also includes Souta
Yamazaki and Shun as secondary designers, Sota
Shigetsugu as director of action animation, and Shoichi as
lead animator. The design of the demons will be in charge of Riki
Matsuura together with Kiyotaka Oshiyama, director of the
film Look Back.

Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be released in Japan on September 19.
Starting September 24, the film will begin screening
internationally, with a U.S. release scheduled for October 29 thanks
to Sony Pictures.
A story
of betrayal, death and demons
The story
of Chainsaw Man follows a young man who lives in debt and
misery, until he is betrayed and murdered. Just before he dies, he makes a pact
with his faithful demon companion Pochita, merging with him and
resurrecting himself as the dreaded Chainsaw Man, the man with the
heart of a demon.
