A
history of weight gainers
The Best
Manga category was introduced in 2018, with Kabi Nagata's My
Lesbian Experience with Loneliness being the first award-winning work.
Since then, the award has gone to Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero
Academia (2019), Kamome Shirahama's Witch Hat
Atelier (2020), and Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw
Man, which achieved a historic triple triumph in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Last
year, the win went to Ryōko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon.
Before this
category existed, mangas competed in "Best American Edition of Foreign
Material". The last to win it was Hajime Isayama's Attack
on Titan in 2014. In 2016, One-Punch Man and Showa:
A History of Japan (1953-1989) were nominated but failed to win.
Currently, this category has been eliminated.
An award
decided by professionals
Unlike the
Eisner Awards, Harvey Award nominations and winners are chosen
exclusively by professionals in the comic book industry. The winners will be
announced during the New York Comic Con, on October 10 (Spain
time).
