Singer-songwriter Kei
Sugawara has released the official music video for her latest song,
titled "filled," which accompanies the closing track
of the anime With You and the Rain, released this summer. The video
is now available on its official YouTube channel.
A unique
voice for an endearing story
Known for
her high-pitched vocal tone and musical sensitivity, Sugawara
writes and composes her own songs. Since her digital debut with
"Furaimi" in November 2020, she has built a strong fan base on
platforms like Spotify and YouTube. In 2022 she
was selected as one of the emerging artists in Spotify's "RADAR:
Early Noise" program. "Filled" marks his first musical
work linked to an anime production.
Sugawara's
message to his fans
The artist
expressed her enthusiasm to be part of a work that she already admired: "It
is my favorite series, it comforts me every day with the quiet life of Fuji and
Kimi, and that slightly humid atmosphere that is not overwhelming. I'm so happy
to have been able to participate in something so beloved." In
addition, he mentioned that the song was produced together with Naoki
Itai and seeks to convey the idea that "a rain like this
can be pleasant," as well as the warmth that is shared during
each season of the year when you are with someone special.
"Filled"
was released digitally on July 4, and its first physical
release came on July 30 with the release of the CD single,
marking a new chapter in Sugawara's career.
