Publisher
Hobby Japan announced
that the light novel series A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even: How I
Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires, written by Metabo
Hagure and illustrated by Masami, will feature an anime
adaptation.
Also known
as The Furious Princess Decided to Take Revenge, this story of
betrayal and revenge is preparing to make the leap to animation. In addition,
the publisher will hold a special live program on August
26 at 1:00 p.m. (Spanish time), in which the work will be discussed.
A
betrayed lady who unleashes her fury
The plot
follows Elizabeth Leiston, daughter of the influential prime
minister and a young maid to become the future queen of the Kingdom of
Haldoria. However, her life falls apart when her fiancé publicly cancels their
engagement, accuses her of false crimes and sends her to prison.
Surrounded
by rumors and betrayals, Elizabeth decides to change her destiny: instead of
serving a country that despises her, she will use all her fury to take
revenge and destroy the kingdom. With the help of her loyal maid Mireille
and the power of seven magical grimoires, she will prove that she
is not a helpless lady, but a woman capable of crushing those who betrayed her.
Journey
from the web to animation
The work
began as a web novel published in October 2020 on the Shōsetsuka
ni Narō platform. Subsequently, in May 2022, the light novel version
was launched, which published its seventh volume on August
20. At the same time, in the same year, the artist Imo Ōno began
the manga adaptation in Comic Fire magazine, whose seventh
compilation volume arrived in Japanese bookstores on April 1.
International
availability
The
publisher J-Novel Club has the official license of both the
light novel and the manga, which will allow Elizabeth's story to also be
available in the international market in English.
