Titan Manga revealed
the official cover and several preview pages of Stray,
the manga written by Ryū Kamio and illustrated by Yu
Nakahara. The English-language release is scheduled for Dec. 2,
with pre-orders available now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million
and Forbidden Planet.
History
of redemption and conspiracies
The plot
follows Hachiya Ken, a man who, after spending nine years
in prison for a crime he did not commit, finally obtains his freedom.
However, his past catches up with him again when Hana, the daughter
of someone linked to his old life, appears. Together they are drawn into a dark
web of betrayal, yakuza power and political corruption. In the
midst of this web of secrets, Ken must face his own demons and decide how far
he is willing to go to achieve his redemption.
The
creators behind Stray
Ryū
Kamio, also known
as Tsutomu Kamishiro, has worked in both manga and anime. Under the
latter name, he has participated in scripts and supervision of titles such
as Virtua Fighter, Kaleido Star, Appleseed, D.Gray-man, Casshern
Sins, Hunter × Hunter and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. In
the field of manga, he is also the author of Last Inning.
Stray's art is by Yu Nakahara,
a joint pseudonym of Hideki Nakazawa and Hiroyuki
Tajima. His works include Naoko, Last Inning, Wild
Pitch!! and Bucchigiri, the latter with an OVA premiered
in 1989.

long-awaited launch
With its
combination of drama, action, and mystery, Stray is
shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases in the Titan Manga
