The Manga
UP! Global announced the addition of two works to its English-language
catalog: Gojiai's KasuRich, which premiered last
Sunday, and Makoto Morishita's Im: Great Priest Imhotep,
added on Monday.
KasuRich:
obsession and twisted bonds
The KasuRich manga
debuted on December 7, 2022, on Square Enix's Gangan pixiv site.
The story follows Mikado Kasuga, a college student whose life
revolves around his favorite streamer, Zurich (real name:
Rihito Nakahara). Convinced that he is the only person who truly understands
him, Mikado attends an event to meet him in person.
However,
the encounter does not go as he expected and he soon discovers that Zurich also
feels a strange obsession towards him. What begins as admiration transforms
into a twisted bond of mutual dependence. Square Enix released the second
compilation volume on July 22, 2025.
Im:
Great Priest Imhotep, from Egypt to Japan
On the
other hand, Im: Great Priest Imhotep was released in Square
Enix's Shōnen Gangan magazine in January 2015. The
play presents Imhotep, an ancient Egyptian priest resurrected in
contemporary Japan. Their mission is to hunt down the Magai, evil
entities that take on the appearance of gods and sow chaos. In the midst of
this struggle, he meets Hinome, a lonely young woman whose life
changes completely after crossing paths with him.
The series
concluded with 11 compilation volumes in September 2018. Yen
Press subsequently published the work in English, releasing the final
volume in digital format in February 2019 and in physical
format in October 2021.
