The
animated adaptation of A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace continues
to expand its cast with the arrival of three new characters that will bring
more color and humor to Futami's office.
Meet the new members
- Shiori Asakura, played by Iori Saeki (known
for her role as Ciel in The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses).
- Ren Takizawa, voiced by Mamiko Noto (Rin
in Inuyasha).
- Wakako Tatsunami, played by Kikuko
Inoue, famous for bringing Kasumi Tendo to life in Ranma 1/2.

Production details and synopsis
The anime
is directed by Kaoru Suzuki (My Roommate is a Cat) and
produced by the Voil studio. The series is composed by Mio
Inoue, while character design is the responsibility of Kana Miyai.
The music is signed by Kei Haneoka and Hironori Doi,
with Ryo Tanaka as sound director. The series adapts the
original manga created by Kuzushiro.
The story
revolves around Futami, a young mangaka who dreams of publishing
her shogi work called "Subaru e". Despite the
support of her editor and assistant, the pressures and stress affect her health
and creativity. Between delays, stuck sketches and nights of snacking, Futami
must face her delusions and difficulties to stay motivated on her path as an
artist.
