The
production team of the new anime PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT confirmed
that Yoshino Aoyama will join the cast playing Gunsmith
Bitch, an intimate arms dealer who will make her appearance in the sixth
episode. The news was announced on Thursday along with new promotional images.
Release
details and available versions
The
"censored" version of the anime debuted in Japan on July 9 on
channels such as Tokyo MX, BS NTV, Sun TV, and others, while the
"original" version premiered on July 15 on AT-X. On
July 10, it arrived on Amazon Prime Video and later on other
platforms, with variations depending on the service. The world premiere was
held on July 4 during the Anime Expo in the United States.
Returning
cast and new additions
Among the
returning voices are Arisa Ogasawara (Panty), Mariya
Ise (Stocking), Kōji Ishii (Garterbelt), Hiroyuki
Yoshino (Brief), Takashi Nakamura (Chuck), Yuka
Komatsu (Scanty), as well as Yūto Uemura and Junya
Enoki playing the new "angel brothers" Polyester (older) and
Polyurethane (younger).
In terms of
changes, Akeno Watanabe will be the new voice of Kneesocks,
replacing Ayumi Fujimura, while Yūko Natsuyoshi will play
Fastener in place of Miki Makiguchi.
Creative
team and music production
Director Hiroyuki
Imaishi returns to the helm of the project under the Trigger studio,
accompanied by Hiromi Wakabayashi in script and conceptual
planning. Atsushi Nishigori continues as the original
character designer, while Shigeto Koyama, Sushio,
and Masaru Sakamoto are in charge of new designs. The artistic
direction falls to Koyama, with Yoh Yoshinari as a
"special specialist".
The music
will feature ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo) and Teddyloid,
along with artists such as TAKU INOUE, 80KIDZ, KM, TAAR, MONJOE, Yackle,
Mitsunori Ikeda and Junji Chiba.

In Daten
City, a place between heaven and hell, creatures known as
"Ghosts" stalk humans, feeding on their desires and resentments. To
combat them, two fallen angel sisters, Panty and Stocking,
are tasked with eliminating the darkness that corrupts the Earth. However,
their true nature raises a question: are they really divine messengers or
servants of the devil?
A return
with history
The
original 13-episode anime premiered in 2010 under the direction of Imaishi
at GAINAX, with music by Teddyloid, Booty Bronx, and Taku
Takahashi. After more than a decade, this new installment seeks to maintain the
irreverent spirit that made the series a cult title.
