Shogakukan's Yawaraka Spirits portal
announced on June 25 that the manga No Longer Allowed
In Another World (Isekai Shikkaku), written by Hiroshi
Noda and illustrated by Takahiro Wakamatsu, will enter a
three-month hiatus. The series will return on October 29 —Spain
time— with the beginning of its final arc.
An
isekai comedy with a very peculiar protagonist
The story
follows a brooding writer who, far from enjoying his life in a fantasy world
full of adorable girls and video game-worthy skills, just wants to find the
perfect place to die. However, his attempts to end his life always fail,
involving him in absurd and comical situations in this dark parody of
the isekai genre.
Trajectory
and upcoming releases
The work,
created by the duo responsible for Love After World Domination,
debuted in October 2019 at Yawaraka Spirits. To
date, it has thirteen compilation volumes, the most recent being published
in April 2024 in Japan. Seven Seas Entertainment is
in charge of its publication in English, and will release the tenth
volume on December 9.
Journey
from the manga to the anime
In July
2024, its anime adaptation was released, which was broadcast by Crunchyroll both
in the original version with subtitles and with English dubbing. The success of
the animated series has helped expand the fan base that is eagerly awaiting the
manga's climax.
