In just 46 days, Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle smashes box office records in Japan

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai, the first installment in the Infinity Castle trilogy, has been crowned as the fastest film in Japanese history to reach 30 billion yen at the box office. The film achieved the milestone in just 46 days, surpassing the previous record held by Mugen Train with 59 days.


A box office phenomenon


In its eighth weekend, the film sold more than 501,000 tickets and grossed 804 million yen (approximately $5.45 million). So far, it has accumulated 22 million tickets sold and a total gross of 31.4 billion yen (about 213 million dollars).

Rising in the historical ranking


With these figures, Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has already surpassed Titanic and is positioned as the third highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. Everything indicates that in the coming days it could also surpass Spirited Away, further consolidating the franchise as a cultural phenomenon.


A luxury music section


The project is directed by Haruo Sotozaki and animated by ufotable. The soundtrack is no slouch: Aimer performs "Taiyō ga Noboranai Sekai", while LiSA returns with "Zankoku no Yoru ni Kagayake", bringing power and emotion to the most intense scenes.
