The
official website of Magical Girl Raising Project: Restart, the new
TV adaptation of the light novel series written by Asari Endo, has
revealed a first promotional trailer and confirmed that the
anime will premiere in 2026.
A new
song performed by Minori Chihara
Singer and
voice actress Minori Chihara, recognized for playing Yuki
Nagato in Haruhi Suzumiya, will perform the opening
theme titled "No tears here." The lyrics have been
written by Aki Hata, while the composition and arrangements were in
charge of Q-MHz. The artist stressed that the song reflects both
magical girls who fight and those who don't, and expressed her excitement for
the anime's premiere and the release of the theme.
Production
team confirmed
The project
will once again have Hiroyuki Hashimoto as director and Takao
Yoshioka in the script, both responsible for the first season. Masako
Ito, who designed the SD characters in the original series, will now be in
charge of the main character design. Satoki Iida also returns
as sound director. As for the animation, it will be in charge of the SynergySP studio,
replacing Lerche, who produced the first installment.
A review

The first
adaptation of Magical Girl Raising Project aired in Japan
between October 1 and December 17, 2016. The story revolves around
a popular social game that offers players a one in 10,000
chance of becoming a real magical girl, with unique powers to help
others. However, the fairy administrator Fav decides to halve
the number of participants, transforming the game into a cruel survival
struggle between sixteen magical girls.
A
long-awaited return
With this
announcement, the franchise confirms that Magical Girl Raising Project:
Restart will be one of the most anticipated productions of the coming
years, promising to bring back the intensity, darkness and excitement that
characterized the first season.
