Akita Publishing's Bessatsu Young Champion magazine announced that the manga Jaa, Kimi no Kawari ni Korosō ka? (Well, should I commit murder instead?) by Sōsō Sakakibara and Yukiaki Kurando will come to an end in just two chapters.

Dark history marked by bullying

The play follows Yūma Fujikura, a first-year high school student who is constantly bullied. One day, his classmate Ryō Ameri, nicknamed "Amelie", intervenes to help him. However, Yūma warns him that if he continues, the abusers will make him the next target. Amelie's response is as disturbing as it is unexpected: she states that he would be willing to commit murder instead.

Almost six years of serialization

The manga began publication in November 2018 on Bessatsu Young Champion. The publisher Akita Shoten released volume 11 of the compilation on August 20. Sakakibara is in charge of the art, while Kurando writes the story.

Other works by the authors

Sakakibara also illustrated the manga Can You Just Die, My Darling? (Konya wa Tsuki ga Kirei desu ga, Toriaezu Shine -last-) alongside Majuro Kaname, which he completed in January 2021 and which Kodansha USA is publishing digitally in English. For his part, Kurando is co-author, with Yūsuke Nomura, of the manga Dolly Kill Kill, which has a total of 11 volumes and is also available in English through Kodansha USA.
