The
renowned Animelo Summer Live event, also known as Anisama,
announced a historic change for its 2026 edition. For the
first time since 2008, the festival will no longer be held at the Saitama
Super Arena, moving to the Makuhari Messe, located in Chiba
prefecture, just outside Tokyo.
Calendar
Advance Event
In addition
to the change of venue, the festival will also bring forward its date,
moving from the end of August to July 2026. Something similar has
not happened since 2007. The decision responds to the renovations of the Super
Arena after its 25th anniversary, but also to the record-breaking high
temperatures that hit the Kanto region in August, with more than 10
days above 35 degrees during 2025.
A
festival that breaks many records
This year's
edition marked the 20th anniversary of Animelo Summer Live,
bringing together 116 artists in 50 groups for three days of
shows. The event brought together more than 87,000 attendees,
achieving the highest number of attendees in its history.
A very
promising future
With this
change of scenery and dates, the festival seeks to offer a more comfortable and
memorable experience for fans of anime music. Fans are already eagerly awaiting
what Animelo Summer Live 2026 will bring in its new stage at
Makuhari Messe.
