Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures presented a new promotional video for the anime Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City (Okiraku Ryoshu no Tanoshii Ryochi Boei), adaptation of the light novel written by Sou Akaike. The trailer confirmed that the series will premiere in january 2026.
The video also features the opening theme titled “Okirakuze~shon”, performed by the singer Rei Nakashima.
Production team
The anime is directed by Tetsuya Tatamitani (Africa no Salaryman, Thermae Romae Novae) in the studio NAZ. The scripts will be supervised by Yutaka Yasunaga (Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon, Pet), while the musical composition will be carried out by Kana Utatane (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!).
The producer Flying Dog he will be in charge of the musical production of the series.
About the light novel
The story was first published on the site Shōsetsuka ni Narō he May 15, 2020. Later, the publishing house Overlap Bunko he began launching the series in light novel format with illustrations by Kururi in september 2021. To date, it has eight volumes published.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Aoiro it began to be serialized on the portal Comic Gardo in february 2022 and it currently has seven compilation volumes available in Japan.
