A few months ago it was confirmed that the manga Kirio Fan Club, written and illustrated by Chikyu no Sakana Ponchan, would have an anime adaptation. Today, the distributor Pony Canyon he revealed that the series will premiere in 2026 and it will include television format, first promotional trailer and the names of the main cast and crew.
The project is being developed by the studio SATELLIGHT under the direction of Sou Toyama, known for his work as an episode director on series such as BanG Dream!, The Apothecary Diaries and Love Live! Sunshine!!. Aya Satsuki (A Girl & Her Guard Dog, Only Camping for Two, Too Cute Crisis) supervises and writes the scripts, while Nami Hayashi (TASUKETSU -Fate of the Majority-) design the characters.

About the manga
Chikyu no Sakana Ponchan he launched the manga on the service Comic Ruelle of Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha in 2022 and he concluded it in august 2024. The sixth and final compilation volume was published in september 2024. The story also featured a Spinoff of five chapters published between october 2024 and february 2025.
Recognitions
Kirio Fan Club he was included in the list of 20 best mangas for female readers from the guide Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2025, where he held the position #10. The author had previously announced that the work will also receive an adaptation to live-action series.
