The
official site for the anime adaptation of the manga You and I Are Polar
Opposites (Seihantaina Kimi to Boku) of Kocha Agasawa he
published a new promotional video confirming the Japanese release date for
the January 11, 2026. The trailer features the closing song
titled “Pure feat. Eriko Hashimoto”, performed by the group PASTA
TASTA, in addition to a new visual image of the protagonists.
The series
will be broadcast in Japan on TV Asahi and other networks, while Crunchyroll it
confirmed its international distribution simultaneously.
Production
team
The
direction will be in charge of Takakazu Nagatomo (Orient)
under the production of the studio Lapin Track. The scripts will be
written by Teruko Utsumi (Sarazanmai), while Mako
Miyako he will be in charge of character design. For its part, tofubeats (Yurei
Deco) will compose the soundtrack, and Sayuri Sakimoto and Naho
Kozono they will serve as animation directors.

the manga
The
original work of Kocha Agasawa it was published through Shonen
Jump+ of Shueisha from May 2022 to November 2024. The
manga concluded with eight compilation volumes and has more than 1.6
million copies in circulation. The story shows two young people with
completely opposite personalities who, despite their differences, begin to
discover what it means to truly connect with another person. The work was
nominated in the Manga Taisho Awards from 2023 and 2024,
occupying positions 3 and 7 respectively.
