The official site of the anime adaptation of the manga The Darwin Incident (Darwin Jihen), written and illustrated by Shun Umezawa, published its first promotional video and a new main visual. The announcement also confirmed the three protagonists who make up the main cast.

Mitsuho Kambe (Rina Tennoji in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, Chiya in Urara Meirochou) as Lucy Eldred.
Akio Ōtsuka (Batou in Ghost in the Shell, All For One in Boku no Hero Academia) as Rivera Feyerabend.
Production team
Naokatsu Tsuda (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) directs the series in BELLNOX FILMS, while Katsuichi Nakayama (Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time) serves as series director. Shinichi Inotsume (PERSONA 5 the Animation) is in charge of the scripts, and Shinpei Tomooka (BUILD-DIVIDE -#000000- CODE BLACK) design the characters. The music is composed of Arisa Okehazama (The Apothecary Diaries) and Mariko Horikawa (Sumikkogurashi: Good to be in the corner), with Yoshikazu Iwanami (Ajin, Fate/Zero) as sound director.
About the manga
Shun Umezawa he launched the manga in the magazine Afternoon of Kodansha in 2020. The ninth compilation volume was published on may 22, while Kodansha USA he released the eighth volume in English on September 23.
Recognitions
The work won the 15th Taisho Manga in 2022 and he received a Excellence Award in the Manga category 25th Japan Media Arts Festival. He also held the position #10 in the guide Kono Manga ga Sugoi! of Takarajimasha that same year, and was nominated in the 47th and 48th Kodansha Manga Awards (2023 and 2024, respectively).
