The 46th digital edition of the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump of Shueisha he announced that the manga Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, written and illustrated by Shun Numa, will have an anime adaptation that will be released in 2026. The announcement came accompanied by a first visual teaser and confirmation from the main production team.
The project will be directed by Junichi Yamamoto (Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion) under the production of the studio Arvo Animation. Hayashi Mori (Sand Land: The Series, Cells at Work! Code Black) will be in charge of supervising and writing the scripts, while Masakatsu Sasaki (TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You, 16bit Sensation) will design the characters.
About the original work
The manga Super Psychic Policeman Chojo it was initially published as a one-shot in April 2023 within Weekly Shonen Jump, before starting its regular serialization in February 2024. The story concluded on June 9, 2025, and Shueisha he released his seventh and final compilation volume on September 4.
Author's career
The creator Shun Numa he is also known for his previous work Samon the Summoner, published in Weekly Shonen Jump between 2015 and 2017. With Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, the author consolidated his style characterized by supernatural humor and satire of the police genre.
