The
official site of Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! 2 shared a promotional
teaser from the second season of the anime derived from the popular
franchise Bungo Stray Dogs. The sequel, based on the comedy manga
by Kanaineko, will be released in 2026 and it will
continue to show the characters in their version SD within
humorous and parodic situations.
The project
will be produced again by the studios BONES and Nomad,
under the direction of Toshihiro Kikuchi (Vinland Saga, Great
Pretend), who returns after directing the first season. Yūdai
Hanaoka (The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl) will occupy the position
of assistant director, while Tōko Machida (Lucky Star, With
You and the Rain) will be in charge of the composition of the series,
replacing Kazuyuki Fudeyasu.
Main
cast and technical team
The
returning voice cast includes a Yuuto Uemura as Atsushi
Nakajima, Mamoru Miyano as Osamu Dazai, Yoshimasa
Hosoya as Doppo Kunikida, Sumire Morohoshi as Kyouka
Izumi, Kenshou Ono as Ryuunosuke Akutagawa,
and Kishou Taniyama as Chuuya Nakahara.
Character
design will be in charge of Hiromi Daimi (Re:CREATORS),
with Azusa Sasaki as a color designer and Hibiki
Nagatomo (Cosmo Project) in art direction. Taku Iwasaki he
will return as a composer, while the musical production will be in charge
of Lantis and the sound direction will be carried out by Kazuhiro
Wakabayashi (Glovision).
A return
full of humor and nostalgia
The first season of Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! it premiered in january 2021 and it was broadcast by Crunchyroll, which also offered English dubbing. The manga of Kanaineko, published by Kadokawa on site Young Ace Up! since 2015, currently has 14 volumes compilations and adapts to the characters created by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa in a lighter and more comical tone.
