The Japanese company Isys, operator of the renowned digital platform DLsite, has launched one demo version from your new social network Pommu (pronounced “pom-you”). With the motto “a secret and otaku-friendly place”, the site is designed to fans of anime, manga and video games, in addition to creators who seek to share and promote their works.
Pommu it works as an extension of DL Channel, the DLsite forum community, but with a format much closer to Twitter/X- Short posts, live timeline, and a direct social approach. One of its most notable features is the button “Toggle R18 content”, which allows you to quickly switch between general content and adult material, replicating the flexibility that has characterized DLsite.
A social network with creative freedom
DLsite is known for its open stance towards the censorship of adult content and for offering a platform where independent artists can publish without restrictions imposed by international payment processors. After launching your own payment system viviON ID, Pommu is presented as the next step in the expansion of its digital ecosystem.
According to the portal ITMedia- the platform has already started receiving mature ranking illustrations from its early adopters, reinforcing its reputation as a free expression space. Although it is still in testing and lacks some basic features, the development team has invited users to submit suggestions and reports for future updates.
Registration in Pommu is done through an account viviON ID, the same one that DLsite uses for its alternative payment system launched a few months ago. With this new initiative, the company seeks to offer a secure and personalized alternative to conventional social networks.
