The official website for the anime adaptation of the manga Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo, written by Akira Konno, revealed a visual teaser, a promotional video and the first details of its cast and production team. The series is scheduled to premiere in april 2026.
The main cast will be headed by Yuria Kouzuki (Gake no Ue no Ponyo) in the role of Kujima and Ayumu Murase (Migi to Dali) as Arata Kouda. Both will play the protagonists of this supernatural comedy that combines humor and mystery in a rural Japanese environment.
Production team confirmed
The anime will be directed by Noriyuki Nomata (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, director episode), with Shinichirou Kimura (Asobi Asobase) as series production director. The scripts will be written by Yasunori Yamada (Game Center Shoujo to Ibunka Kouryuu), while the character design will be in charge of Sakurako Mitsuhashi (Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun).
The soundtrack will feature the participation of Manami Kakudo, recognized for her interpretation of the theme Housenka. The animation will be produced by the studio Studio Hibari, responsible for multiple comedy and action television titles.
A supernatural comedy with a nostalgic touch
Akira Konno serialization began Kujima Utaeba Ie Hororo in the magazine Gessan in september 2021 and he concluded it in the number of may 2024. Shogakukan he published the fifth and final compilation volume in may 2024, closing a story that mixes the everyday with the spiritual in an endearing way.
