A new romantic comedy is ready to make the leap to television. An official website has been launched to announce that the manga Kakunaru Ue wa (Now That We Draw), written by Kyuu Takahata and illustrated by Yuuji Kaba, will receive an anime adaptation. The revelation was accompanied by a first promotional video, a visual teaser and confirmation of the main cast.
The main couple will be played by two renowned voice actors:
- Sayumi Suzushiro (Nijika Ijichi in Bocchi the Rock!, Kei Shirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Niina Miyamoto.
- Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata in Haikyuu!!, Venti in Genshin Impact) as Yuuki Uehara.

About the work
The manga began serialization in the magazine Young Animal of Hakusensha in February 2023. The story continues Yuuki Uehara, a student and aspiring mangaka whose story is rejected for lack of romantic realism. Desperate, he ends up crossing paths with Niina Miyamoto, a popular colleague who also draws manga and seeks experience. Together they decide to start one fake relationship to use it as a reference in his works, unleashing a series of comic situations.
