The search
for love has never been so lethal. The anime adaptation of Kindergarten
WARS has been officially announced, bringing the popular violent
romantic comedy You Chiba to television. The project was
revealed on the stage of the Jump Festa 2026, where a visual
teaser, character designs, details of the main staff and a promotional video of
the "voice comic" type were presented simultaneously.
The
announcement confirmed the voices that will give life to the protagonists of
this unusual story:
- Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya in Spy x
Family) as Rita, a legendary ex-assassin.
- Kentaro Kumagai (Laios in Dungeon
Meshi) as Doug, a former con artist and senior professor.

The series
will be produced by the Sunrise studio (Gundam, Code
Geass). Shinsuke Gomi is in charge of directing,
while Junko Yamanaka is in charge of character design.
Synopsis
and Characters
The story
takes place in the Black Kindergarten, an unusual facility attended
by the children of politicians, global corporate leaders, and Hollywood stars.
Established on a government initiative, the kindergarten employs dangerous
criminals as special instructors in exchange for reduced sentences, tasking
them with protecting children's lives.
The
protagonist, Rita, is a rookie teacher who is actively looking for a boyfriend.
Despite his overwhelming combat skills, he has a critical weakness for handsome
men, falling in love with enemies if he finds them attractive. The visual
teaser shows Rita and Doug in the schoolyard, surrounded by children, creating
a surreal and shocking composition.
