because this news will whet your appetite! The Happinet company
revealed on Thursday that the anime adaptation of Susumu Maeya's manga, The
Food Diary of Miss Maid (Maid-san wa Taberu Dake), will make
its television debut in April 2026. To celebrate the announcement,
an adorable "winter vacation" visual was shared where we see
protagonist Suzume enjoying a "Chun-man" bun.
It has been
confirmed who will voice the protagonists of this delicious story:

direction is in charge of Ryousuke Senbo (Yōkai Watch)
at the EMT Squared and Magic Bus studios. The
scripts are supervised by veteran Natsuko Takahashi and Saeka
Fujimoto. The character design will be by Chiaki Abe, while the
music will be composed by Katsutoshi Kitagawa (Buddy
Daddies, Chobits) of ROUND TABLE under the Lantis label.
Synopsis:
A Feast in Japan
The
original manga was released on Kodansha's Comic Days site
in December 2019. The story follows Suzume Tachibana, an apprentice
maid who ends up living in Japan for a year. Its main mission? Eat! From sweets
like taiyaki and melon bread to savory dishes like takoyaki and onigiri, Suzume
will explore Japanese cuisine bite by bite. Be prepared, because watching her enjoy
food is sure to make you hungry too.
